Testimonials
The great articles and stories from Retail World keep coming. There are many retail stories breaking in our industry, yet Retail World is at the front of all the news and the monthly articles are a ‘must read’. What I like about Retail World, is their objectivity. Articles are never written with a bias one way or another and are presented without fear or favour. Retail World are to be commended on presenting the facts. It’s not an opinion-based magazine that so many other publications tend to be. Retail World is more factual and I find the authors always ask the right questions and report the answers fairly. What is also terrific is that it’s not just supermarket based. Retail World covers the whole retail spectrum and there are many stories that I have read, that I would previously never have known. I am learning more about retail as I comprehend the various articles and I would like to think that the learnings and take-outs form many of the stories reported, help to make our business more relevant in today’s market.
Retail World is an iconic magazine that has now entered its 72nd year. You have to be good in this day and age to be relevant, popular and well read and credit to the Retail World team, for providing us with insightful articles that keep us informed as to what’s happening, not only in Australia, but overseas.
I never miss a monthly edition and I look forward to Retail World providing us with more facts and great stories in 2019.
Retail World has been a major resource for the operations and marketing teams at Drakes Supermarkets.Over the years, it has provided inspiration and direction for innovative and creative ideas that have kept the company at the forefront of the industry, in terms of store and department refits, product ranging and general retail intelligence.
I regard Retail World as the only retail magazine that predominantly focuses on the supermarket industry and it is read by all our executive and store managers. We always look forward to the next edition coming out so we can be kept up to date with new products in our industry.
Since I arrived from South Africa in 1982, Retail World has been an important part of my life. Without fail the magazine arrives in the post, initially fortnightly and now monthly, and with great interest I’ve read the latest on trends in the retail supermarket scene. Still today, Retail World is at the forefront of news affecting our industry. News about the latest trends, who’s who and the latest goings on, and now much more with the addition of product and manufacturer information. Information that is important for someone like me who continues to be heavily involved in the industry. The mainstream supermarkets’ ability to compete with all these conflicting interests is going to make survival extremely tough. However, Retail World is at the forefront of covering these trends. May you continue to influence our daily lives. I look forward to reading Retail World now and into the future.
